And then I found those bird decoration patterns carried on the decorated style of Shang dynasty, gradually formed its own style which combined with vigorous, pretty and ingenious; which mixed with realist and romantic.Whole casting was popular in Shang and Xizhou dynasty.Following with separated cast, it made the decoration more flexible and varied.Bird decoration is mainly Muyin and depict in early day; up to Warring states period, added the inlay and hollow out crafts. So the bird decoration in that time became more active and dynamic.Third, after looking over the ancient literature, referencing the good works, the writer used the archaeological methods to clean up the origin and evolution of bird decoration of Shang and Zhou dynasty in Shanxi, In ordre to conclude its artistic characteristics. Bird decoration art have long time history, there are excellent works in neolithic age. Bird decorated bronze wares in Shang dynasty mainly imitate owl and phoenix, owl You and Zun were usually to see. Phoenix was popular in Xizhou. The patterns on bronze wares were exquisite, and the main and the secondary were orderliness. Realistic and geometry bird coexisted,and the image of those birds were full of dynamic.Fourth, from the analysis and conclude the character of design and craft, the author try to infer from that the plenty of bird decorated bronze wares in Shanxi might the matirial worship of ghosts and gods, may be the sacrificial vessel to pray. And also can deduce Jin people are the direct successors of Zhou.
