As a film master, Antonioni's unique film techniques and distinctive style has left the world a valuable asset. As one of the representatives of the second modern film, while has experienced the Italy new-realism film movement, his adventurous innovation and breaking the traditional rules of world film makers have far-reaching impact. The narrative of the film, the unique exploration of the time-space, the particular performance of the objective environment, and the clever arrangements of music and sound, has become the labels of his film. In particular, the director's works presented figures who wander aimlessly in the city and field, faced different problems in life, their loss flawless, inner emptiness and anxiety. The state of people in the film makes the viewers feel the real life fragments and inner feelings. These left me a deep impression, and aroused my interest in research. This article hopes to employ the wandering of figure as a starting point, perspective a better understanding of his unique creative thought and the film shooting techniques, and demonstrate its unique sense of film.In this paper, via the point of view and main line of wandering of figure, through the "People" and "wandering" the two key concepts explained, concern why the people wandering, to explore the narrative structure and visual language of wandering, and analysis of the film director Michelangelo Antonioni's unique thought and expression of film. Michelangelo Antonioni has a unique narrative and visual language to describe the people of existence. He puts forward and describes the problem, but does not provide any answers, the film has a vague ambiguity, and thus more close to life at the same time, the film expresses emotional poetic.This paper covers Antonioni's features from "Story of a love affair " in 1950, to " Beyond the Clouds "in 1995, total of 15.Around the core issues to be discussed, "The wandering of figure", the paper is divided into four parts:The first chapter discusses the problem with this request to define the concept. Michelangelo Antonioni has concerned from the body to people, which were of concern to the people on women's concerns and focusing on characteristics of the middle class. Secondly, define the concept of wandering, and explain its distinctive characteristics. Second chapter focuses on why the figures wandering. Include the person's self-feelings of crisis, social adjustment crisis, looking for reality crisis in the modern society. The third chapter discusses the narrative structure of the film, the control of the time and space, camera movement and the particular expression of the objective environment, and analyzes how the director realizes these. The fourth chapter summarizes the expression of the director's unique way, which is a poetic expression, from the point of view of the relationship between the director and the new-realism movement, concern his new understanding and expression of film.
