This paper attempt to elucidate it further on the basis of previous studies. This paper will elaborate it in aspects of the definition, the source development, critical spirit, power culture and official ethics, artistic defects, and so on. It makes the readers have a deep and fire new understanding about official novels, gives modern official novels a more precise location.Besides introduction and conclusion, this paper divided into four parts.For chapter one, the definition and sources of the contemporary Officialdom novels first section defined the contemporary officialdom novels. By analyzing the four previous view, to understand the differences and connections between fficialdom novel and anti-corruption novel, to find out its connotation and extension, giving a clearer definition of official novel,and to formulate a more reasonable understanding. Second section study and sort out the origin and evolution of contemporary official novels, from the origin of poems to the development in early twentieth century, until to contemporary continued development and prosperity, focus on analysing two types of creation, one reveals a certain important events in the current political and economic reform, the other reveal the the power struggle and the rules of the game by taking an official figure as the hero of novel.
