Research On The Teaching Method Of Pipa Rotation

This article analyses the teaching method of Pipa-Rotation in the aspect of the natural science and social science. It is divided into four chapters. Chapter one is a brief overview of the kind of rotation.The reason why rotation is hard to grasp is that there are many types of this method. The paper then introduces the teaching content of Pipa rotation.Chapter two explains the gesture and hand position requirements, the way of using the joint, strength and the String-touch method from the physic aspect so that to achieve the excellent effect of the rotation. Diffenrent hand positions will have the different sound effects:when using "longan" hand position,we can hear the round-intensive and clear sounds. The fingers moves fast and flexibler, making the sounds more crisp; when using "Eichhornia" hand position, we use much more strength, thus the two strings sound more even and bright. However, there are certain drawbacks in these two kinds of hand position. For example, in the "longan"position, the identensity is not very strong, especially in the round of the pairs of strings. Therefor the sounds will be stiff and rigid, and there is a lack of sympathy; while as for "Eichhornia "hand position, the sounds are not fluent enough and there is also a lack of beauty and a low lyrical degree. So in order to adapt to the modern works created by the pipa, the hand position of pipa need developing with time flying. We should combine these two hand positions to form a new type--"semi-fist-type. Different rotations have different way to use nails position and the joints which can make players touch the string differently, so the hand position shall be determined in accordance with the specific music.Based on physics and human anatomy, chapter three analyzes the problems which are discovered during the course of teachong and solve them;It also mentioned how to enable students to overcome our natural physiological conditions-- the negative aspects of the right hand by a series of training methods so that this skill is easy for the students to master. Our five fingers of right hand have difference in the intensity, flexibility, and control capability of the independence movement because of the different physical conditions and daily activities. So students need training in the unity between the flexibility and independence to achieve the strength, degree and the sound. It is also necessary to make the tone and volume changes by the skill of rotation in the performance.Chapter 4 makes a summary of the rotation teaching course and clarify that teachers should achieve four combinations, that is, combination between theory and practice, teaching and performance, explanation and demonstration, and the combination of class and after-school. Teachers should make a deep understanding of the relationship of the teachers, students, and parents, and further explain how to improve the quality of rotation teaching.
