The Phonological Study Of Xiang Dialect In Longsheng Of Guangxi

Longsheng Ethnic Minorities Autonomous County is located in the north, close to Hunan, the geography of position is very specific.Besides the minority languages,the uppermost language is southwest mandarin. Because there are many native resident population's ancestral home is Hunan Suining,Xinhua, Xupu and other places in Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China era to move to Longsheng,they brought Xiang dialect,so Longsheng has Xiang dialect. But Longsheng Xiang dialect has not received the attention of the academia all the time, Besides the record in local county annals,there has been few documents and paper on the study of the dialects in Longsheng. Considering that and on the basis of investing in the locality,we mainly describe the phonetic system of Longshen Xupu dialect and Longsheng Xinhua dialect which are representative dialects of Longsheng Xiang dialect, with the comparison of ancient Chinese phonology, to find the similarities and differences with the ancient tones and modern aspects, then with the horizontal comparison of Hunan Xiang dialect Longsheng mandarin, we are attempting to find the characteristics evolution in Longsheng Xiang dialect and to discuss the features, to make up the deficiencies of Chinese dialects in Longsheng country.The full thesis falls into nine parts altogether.The Introduction Part shows us the geography,the history,the population,the condition of languag uses of Longsheng briefly.then also introduces the present studies on the Longsheng dialects and the emphasis and the main purpose of our research.The first chapter describes an account of the phonetic system,the features of initial consonant,compound vowel and tone of Longsheng Xupu dialect. The second chapter descibers and analyses literary reading and colloquial reading of Longsheng Xupu dialect.The third chapter cleans up the syllabary of Longsheng Xupu dialect.The fourth chapter describes an account of the phonetic system,the features of initial consonant,compound vowel and tone of Longsheng Xinhua dialect.The fifth chapter descibers and analyses literary reading and colloquial reading of Longsheng Xinhua dialect.The sixth chapter cleans up the syllabary of Longsheng Xinhua dialect.The seventh chapter uses the comparative method with Longsheng Xupu dialect,Hunan Xupu dialect and Longsheng mandarin to find the Longsheng Xupu dialect under the contact and influence with Longsheng mandarin voice, which retains its own features and which is subject has changed.The eighth chapter uses the comparative method with Longsheng Xinhua dialect,Hunan Xinhua dialect and Longsheng mandarin to find the Longsheng Xinhua dialect under the contact and influence with Longsheng mandarin voice, which retains its own features and which is subject has changed.The ningth chapter concluds Longsheng Xiang vocabulary and grammatical features,discuss the Longsheng xiang dialect's features.
