Development And Trend Of The Solmization In Professional Music Education

Solfeggio is a basic training on musical sense of hearing. It is a course combining technique, theory and art, and it plays an important part in professional music education. In the professional teaching of solfeggio, solmization goes the very first. This paper generalizes the development of solmization and its application in professional music education in a chronological order, analysis the advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of solmization in details and find an international musical element which is more in line with the solmization system. It is scientific, effective and necessary for the development of current international music.This paper is divided into four chapters.The introduction section is a brief exposition of the current status of solmization and its drawbacks, leding to the purpose and significance of writing this paper as well as its study directions.Chapter I The introduction of solmization. This chapter includes three parts. First, it introduces the definition of solmization. Second, it analysizes the close link between solfeggio and solmization. At last, it states the very important role solmization plays in the professional music education.ChapterⅡThe evolution of solmization. In this part, the development of solmization is analysized in chronological order. The origin of solmization dates back to the 11th century of Europe. It focuses on its historical background and its application in the professional music education. Furthermore, there is a brief introduction on the introduction of solmization along with solfeggio and its status in china during the last 100 years.Chapter III The development of solmization and its application. It mainly talk about two kinds of solmizations which are widely used all over the world, Tonic sol—fa and fixed—do. This paper analysizes their emergences, development and their status in professional music education in details. It also introduce the distribution of these two solmizations home and abroad, and the various disagreements hold by music theorists.Chapter IV covariant sol-fa:the development trend of sol-faMost music theorists believe that fixed-sol-fa has a big advantage to the the first sol-fa in using, even the seven roll-call is not completely fixed in the fixed-sol-fa. In the end of last century, based on the fixed sol-fa,35 covariant sol-fa, which includes up, down, re-up and weight down were designed by Chinese music theorists. This paper is designed to argue that the emergence and development of covariant sol-fa that have made up the using shorts of the roll-call, covariant sol-fa adapts to the needs of the current musical development. And it is the trend of sol-fa in the modern professional music education.
