The Research Of Cao Cao' "Command" Style

Cao Cao is a distinguished statesman, strategist, literature and poet in late Han Dynasty, who is the creator and the founder of Jian An literature. He fought north and south, and created a mass of literature during his life. His literature work contained two types mainly, which are poesy and essay. All the twenty or more poems are yuefu style related to the current situation, which has been hailed by Zhong Xing as "the true record of the late Han period and the real history poem". The essay is more than 150 in total, which is more than the amount of poem. Due to Cao Cao's special status of politician, the essay works are mostly application character, among which "the command" covers more than a half in amount, which was the most in quantity and possesses the highest quality.Most of the literate concentrate on his poems. They think that most of his essay is application literature which is limited in literature and the research value. However, I do not agree with this view. Cao Cao's essay has its own literature value. Especially his command style contains his army life and the political area, which records the thinking and the saying during his life.So this article starts with "the command" style, discusses from both macroscopic and microcosmic angle and trances the origin and the development of "the command". With the research methods of statistics and analysis, the command creation can be divided into three periods due to his two turning points in his political life. It can be concluded by comparison that the amount of the command increases, the range is wider and the writing style turns the character of free. Through the analysis to the text of the imperceptible official documents by Cao Cao. The character of concise, strict and unrestraint displays in Cao Cao's "command" style. He devoted himself in farming, alleviated people's hardships and transformed outmoded habit and custom. This abundant content article not only manifests the people oriented view and the grip strategy in the unified outstanding achievement, but also reflects the troublous situation of the late Han Dynasty and the sympathy with the toil people. So we can say that this dissertation narrates the idea and the opinion of Cao Cao truly during his whole life. Cao Cao's "command" style is a vital part of his literature in respect that it breaks through some of the obsolete tradition from both the content and the form in the former dynasty and influences the literature in contemporary and the later era profoundly.
