On Shi Shuqing's Spatial Writing

As a well-known literary family,'The Shi sisters'have made great contribution to taiwan literature and even to the history of Chinese literature. Lugang as their hometown , is not only the root of their literature family,but also the source of their literary imagination. As an activist of the family, Shi Shuqing had left Lugang, then she travelled extensively such as Taibei﹑America﹑Hong Kong and so on.The experiences by travelling have given her abandant written materials and have provided enviroment for her spatial writing.But the long distance from her hometown made her find the the change of the hometown ,so she suffed more pain. Shi Shuqing travelling among different places is also her experience among different culture.The experience increases her anxiety of identy.So her works reflected her effort to search for the sendai city.This paper attempt to analyse her hometown writting and comment on her spatial writing from the standpoint of New Cultural Geography.Her descriptions of literary phenomenon,culture conflicting and blending reflect status anxiety of men of writters﹑the suffering which caused by great changes of her hometown , searching for the sendai city .Through all of these,we can find Shi Shuqing focus on culture space and identity in her works.
