A New Cornerstone On The Discovery Road Of Original Chinese Musicals

In recent years there have been a lot of original musicals in China, and the creation and performance of musicals in China have a special style of Chinese characteristics. In this thesis the historical origin of musicals will not be traced, but an analysis and study of Jinsha and Searching all the Way, two classical and popular original musicals in the field of art and culture in a recent period of five or six years which both have a most excellent making team and a special performing team, will be done. Jinsha takes a theme of developing and advertising the civilization of the ancient Sichuan district, in which the ancient myths and legends mixed with love through time and space give a fresh air of art and culture to the musicals. Searching all the Way is a good singing and show of the unyielding struggle and spirit of Chinese people before disasters and a good illustration of the unique artistic influence of musicals. This thesis mainly probes into the text, music, artistic features and success and failure of these two musicals. The author makes a simple summary of the development of the original Chinese musicals in recent years in the hope of creating more startpoints on the discovery road of original Chinese musicals and doing this again and again to bring original Chinese musicals to a more successful summit in the end.
