Intercultural Communicative Competence teaching English in universities is one of the most important elements of basic education and is also a long-term objective of training and education. The 21st century is a global information technology boom era. English has become the international lingua franca of the global village, as such intercultural education should be of the utmost important. It is therefore very important for students to pay attention to the development of their intercultural communicative competence and respective skills in college English learning.From the latter half of the 20th century with language teaching and research developing, students of single-language ability have turned to the study of intercultural communicative competence. Intercultural communication science research in the United Stated started in the 1960's, the former Soviet Union began in 70s and in China, about the 1980's. In English teaching, intercultural communication research is of practical importance. The requirements of intercultural communicative competence are increasingly urgent with more frequent use in intercultural communication activities. Currently, many educators and linguists have paid great attention to the "intercultural communicative competence", in English teaching. "How to cultivate and improve the ability of intercultural communication" is not only an important research topic for the intercuitural communication in the field of language teaching, but also to face core problems.Therefore, this article focuses on how to train students'intercultural communicative competence and attempts to explore some efficent ways in this field. Firstly, the article, from an abroad, domestic and personal standpoint, expounds the importance of educating intercultural communication competence. In the literature review, we introduce intercultural communication, as being the relationship between language, culture, and the meaning of cultural communication. Thirdly, it once again describes the theoretical basis of intercultural communication teaching concepts. Fourthly, in the teaching method section, it specifically discribes the teaching of intercultural communication from several aspects and describes the capacity-building of the teaching methods. Fifthly, in the experimental research, it has made assumptions, by teaching classes where the students were the object of study, using tools of test methods and the use of SPSS 15.1 software for data analysis and research. Finally, It made conclusions on training students'intercultural communicative competence in the college English teaching research.
