Borderland-inspection Of Aola, A Deputy General Of Hulunbuir Of Qing Dynasty

Borderland–inspected system is one of important issues of borderland studies of Qing dynasty. Because of scarce material left in Chinese and ambiguous Manchu material , there is much room for future research in it .Aola changing is a famous person of Daurs nationality in the late of Qing dynasty .Xian feng first year (1851), assigned by Qing government , Changxing ,as deputy General of Hulunbuir , inspected the north-eastern border- river of Eerguna and Wudi and wrote a narrative poem in Manchu called"inspection of river of Eerguna and Ungerbiqi"and a prose of"wondering of officials", which is a real record about north-eastern border. Therefore , based on the research of predecessors and historical material , author aims at the further exploration on the north-eastern inspection system of Qing dynasty.In view of protect the frontier and defend enemy,Qing government carried out the policy of borderland-inspection.This policy lasted more than 180 years since Nerchinsk Treaty set between China and Russia in 1689.according to scope of borderland-inspection,there are two kind of inspection: one-year borderland-inspection and three-year borderland-inspection,but borderland-inspection of Aola·changxing belonged neither of two.Receiving the paper that there was foreign ship from Russia,he is assigned to inspect the borderland,whose scope was different from others,so from this angle,it is a significant and special borderland-inspection.Author makes full use of the papers and historical material that Aola·changxing wrote.Before that,much attention are paid by researchers to his literature and poems,discounting his historical value,let alone the combination between the borderland-inspection and historical materials. So from the perspective of history,this article focuses on borderland-inspection of Changxing on the ground of"The Wondering of Officials"and relevant historical materials.The issues this article explores is the borderland-inspection of Aola·changxing,including the family history of changxing which has been not studied so far by others,his writings about borderland-inspection as well as the reason of the borderland-inspection.In this process,the whole north-eastern inspection route of Qing dynasty is displayed which is different from the previous,of which changxing had gone in four route,at the same time the details about the route,process and the problems coming up in this inspection is been analyzed.By having a good knowledge about this,we can raise the awareness of national pride and get the information of the great contributions some minorities have made for our country,taking changxing as a example,which shows us a solid fact that the minorities are necessary members of Chinese nation.
