Reinterpretation is a common rhetorical phenomenon:in a particular context, it is based on many kinds of language mechanism such as homophone, polysemant, etc,in order to complete some kind of pragmatic intention. At present the linguistic circles is focus on reinterpretation as a description of Rhetoric, but unconcern the formation and processing mechanism of reinterpretation phenomenon. In this paper, the proposed use of the outcomes of previous studies to have a comprehensive description of reinterpretation, through the inductive analysis, exploring a new perspective to define this conception and classify the functional types. And from the perspective of cognitive linguistics to interpretation it, only can provide a clear theoretical basis for the use of reinterpretation. The paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter one is the Introduction, focuses on results of previous studies, as well as the purpose of this research, research methods. And the results of various studies on the predecessors to make objective comments, from discovered remains to be resolved.Chapter two defines reinterpretation to make a new definition. Through induction the nature of the language and analysis the real-corpus confusing concepts to determine the performance of reinterpretation. Finally, reinterpretation is defined as:it is a expresser who though some special codes to delivery information in a language activity, which discusses the language itself, as well as the intention expressed by themselves, so the reinterpretation phenomenon can be completely divorced from the conversation (receiver). From the relationships of word's form, sound and meaning, the new type of words is built on the same or similar word's speech, and its written form not only same as the prototype but also has a single semantics, At the same time in every word must be have a real semantics. In chapter three, we lay out the theoretical foundation for classification. We explain the theory basis of reinterpretation Categories, and on this basis in detail explain the types of reinterpretation. Form the direction of change; reinterpretation can be classified into two categories, which belong to forward reinterpretation and adverse reinterpretation. Then reinterpretation can be caused by other specific means of further dividing. In chapter four, we study the formation mechanism of reinterpretation. According the triple different relations of langue iconicity, that is the morph syntax iconicity, relationship iconicity, and semantic iconicity, then the formation mechanisms of reinterpretation to have a in-depth theoretical analysis. Reinterpretation as a less typical morphological Rhetoric, in the shape of the morph syntax there are many relationships between the explicit morph syntax and implicit morph syntax. And under the influence of iconicity to promote expresser who look for the relationships between the explicit morph syntax and implicit morph syntax. Thus, reinterpretation, under the combined affects which in its rhetoric form and rhetorical meaning, comes a wealth of rhetorical effect. In chapter five, we have an in-depth analysis to understand mechanism of reinterpretation. Under the optimal relevance, expresser apply the contextual effect and the central force can fund out reinterpretation phenomenon. Another solution by making a linguistic sign with the tag feature, so that some of the words violated to common semantics, resulting in an additional meaning, to understand who is only aware of tags can be active in association activities. In the context, new type of reinterpretation is the key point, belongs to the leading role, prototype played background role, it belongs to the background. The interaction between them can provide a basis of psychology.Chapter six is the conclusion that summarizes main viewpoints and deficiency of the whole paper.
