Ever since the boom in Song Dynasty's big cities, kinds of dialect rap in China has developed into professional art for performance. In Ming Dynasty, business and commerce became more prosperous, especially in southern cities, where folk artistic performance including ancient drama put on one after another. This trend of secularization rounded out when entering Qing Dynasty. The Qing Dynasty's official prohibition and destruction on ancient drama is profound in the development of Chinese ancient drama.The author tries to put this phenomenon back into the whole background of the Qing Dynasty drama's development, and then discuss the reasons and the mechamism in it.This article insists of two parts, that is, the introduction and the main text.Introduction outlines why I choose this topic, how I am gonna to prove, and combs the name question carried in the prohibition and destruction on ancient drama historical data.The main text includes two chapters.First chapter:the summary of Qing dynasty's official prohibition and destruction on ancient drama.It approximately outlines the history and describe it according to the time and logical order. Second chapter:the characteristic and reasons of Qing dynasty's official prohibition and destruction on ancient drama.This chapter takes the official government order and the massive drama historical data as the basis, and introduces the phenomenon's three remarkable characteristics.
