Writing the body was a literary phenomenon and cultural trends appeared in the last five years of 1990s. It has attracted widespread attention in the academic circles. Most of researchers criticize the body writing in light of moral and value. Affected by the context of consumer culture, Weihui and Mianmian's body writing and the later body writings are quite controversial in our country. Revealing the relationship between body writing and the context of consumer culture provides a practical basis for our present study of the state that is the body writing and its literature in the context of consumer culture.The paper is divided into three parts. In the first part,it traces the emergence process of the body writing and the elements that form it. It analyses the importance of the role played by the Chinese and Western physical culture and the feminist theories and practice in the body writing. In this part,it also explains in detail the relationship between the context of consumer culture and the body writing. And furtherly it analyses the significant impact of consumer culture on the rise of the body writing. In the second part, by the interpretation of typical texts, it analyzes the differences of the body writing between Linbai and Mianmian's and that of the later writers' in the evolution process of the body writing. Based on that, the characteristics of the body writing in the context of consumer culture can be concluded. The third part is about the reflections of the body writing. In the third part, topics of the relationship between the body writing and feminist Literature, the processing method of the body writing in Literature and the call for Literary quality in the context of consumer culture and something related are discussed.
