The Analyse Of Bai Ju-yi's Sentimental Poetry

In this essay, the author mainly analyses Bai Ju-yi's Sentimental poetry, who is a most famous poet in Tang Dynasty. The number of his poetry total over 3800, and the Sentimental Poems is 215.The author divides all sentimental poems into four kinds: pity of old, sadness of the distant, memory of died people, exclamation of existent. Bai Ju-yi was in the Middle and Late Tang Dynasty, in which the economic and politic became down. Also, in the life of Bai Ju-yi there were many difficulties and sadness. So the Sentimental poetry was founded by Bai Ju-yi. In the Sentimental poetry, Yuan Zhen is in the important status. Because Yuan Zhen and Bai Ju-yi had the same political ideals, career and experiences as well as poetry thoughts. Furthermore, the author explores artistic achievement concerning the images, the emotional key of poet and the style of poem. In the same time, this essay draws two lyrical modes in Bai Ju-yi's Sentimental Poetry. In the last part, the author analyses two famous poems: The Eternal Regret Song and The Pipa Song.
