Chinese teleplay emerged in 1958, which has become an indispensable part of Chinese mental life over the past fifty years or more. Since the 1990s, Chinese teleplay has flourished further, and its creation has developed in a diverse new pattern, especially the popular teleplay, which reveals a very powerful growth momentum. As one branch of the popular play, the family-ethics teleplay has achieved remarkable development and has attracted a lot of scholars'much attention.Since 1990s, with the deepening of the social and cultural transformations, the Chinese traditional ethics has become diverse. On the occasion when the society centering around politics and ethic turns to one focusing on goods and market, people's mentality becomes complex. This change brings many challenges and puzzles to the creation of the teleplay on family ethics, to which more exploring significance is added. For example, the female characters in the plays are mostly under the impact of the traditional and modern consciousness. In narration, there are changed features, such as the public-oriented society giving way to the privatization of public space, the chronological narrative structure, the dramatic conflict of"life-stream"; in other words, instead of simply following the early teleplay on family ethics which adopts the standard of good or evil to criticize people's choice, narrative standpoint is now relatively open. That the family-ethics teleplay is under the traditional, modern and postmodern cultures and with the humanistic care from the popular perspectives also shows its characteristic. In cultural esthetics more attention is paid to the embodiment of traditional culture. And efforts are made to excavate the modern value of finial piety to reconstruct ethics and at the same time the whole process of the esthetical activities caused by the empathy and resonance of blending objects and human is completed. Thus this kind of teleplay is more and more popular with television viewers.However, in the course of the development of the family-ethics teleplay, some unhealthy tendencies such as"aesthetic dilemma","popularization"have emerged. It is our duty to correct the imbalance of marital games rationally, to reconstruct the demand of value, to strengthen the awareness of eulogizing and inheriting the essence of Chinese culture and to create the vigorous cultural space of Chinese family-ethics teleplay.
