Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Higher Vocational Student's Mental Health Education In Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture

With the rapid development of science and technology, social economy and culture, people will change rapidly increased social psychological pressure; thus many psychological problems are so likely to occur that concerning with mental health has become a major trend in today's world. Psychological diathesis plays a vital role in whether the scientific and technological talents can get an advantageous position in the international competition.Further more, such psychological diathesis as optimistic and outgoing, active and up-and-coming, without fearing of failure or hardship and coordination with team members play a critical role.To develop mental health education among higher vocational school students is an important implementation for quality-oriented education as well as another historical. To develop mental health education among higher vocational school students is not only the need of future. Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, which is located in western Hunan and adjacent to Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing and Hubei, belongs to the western region which has a complicated terrain of hills and mountains and historically which is the habitation of Miao and Tujia naionalities. Owing to the limitation of transportation and geographical environment, the economy and culture of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture fall behind and higher vocational school education has a late start. It's very important for Higher Vocational College of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture to realize the signifinicance of mental education for the students and to concern for it.The thesis, which adopts the technique of literature and investigation to analyze and explain the importance of developing mental health education in higher vocational colleges, investigates and analyzes the current situation of the mental health education in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture. Thus, feasible strategies that can strengthen mental health education in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture are proposed. Namely, change the ideas and try to correctly understand mental health education; enhance the reform of mental health education curriculum and the built of teaching material; consummate the content system of mental health education; strengthen the construction of teaching resource for mental health education; establish security system for mental health education; create an environment for mental health education in higher vocational colleges.
