| As a famous Philosopher and educationist in America,John·Dewey was the founding father of Pragmatism education thought and one of the most important influences in west modern educational history. Dewey's moral educational theories were wide and deep in content. Studying Dewey's moral educational theories still had a great instructive sense. This paper starts with the social background of formation of Dewey's moral educational theories,employs methods of document research and comparative analysis,mainly expounds several important propositions in his moral educational theories. This paper has constructed the philosophical basis on Dewey's education.This assignment aims to provide a constitution of the theoretical foundation by defining the basic contents and characteristics of the moral theory of pragmatism.
