In the domain of second language acquisition, input and output approaches are always two important elements. Krashen's input theory points out that the large quantity of the immersion input is the only way of developing the ability of output. While Swain'output theory gives the further declaration that input and output can't be separated and can promote each other. But in the lack of background of English in China, input-output based on processing instruction can be useful. Especially though the control of quality and quantity of input and output, paying attention to the interesting and using the learning strategies and instruction of teaching theories can make it effective.Analyzing the changes of grammar of New Standard English (senior), the essay is aimed at learning grammar successfully through the instruction of students'learning strategies to deal with input and output, which makes it easy to teach grammar. Taking the attributive clause as an example and comparing the traditional way and the way of input-output based on processing instruction, the author wants to find out a new way's potential and possibility.In this study, there are more than 100 students in Grade One of Yun Cheng Middle School, Shanxi. One class with 51 students is randomly selected as Experimental Class and the other one with 50 students as Control Class. These two intact classes with equal number of students instructed by the same teacher were chosen as subjects in order not to disturb the regular teaching program and for convenience and easy control. Both classes were given the same grammatical task: Attributive Clause. Experimental Class received input-output based processing instruction, while, the Control Class received the traditional teaching method.By analyzing the result of the research, there is no doubt answer to this question that the new way- input-output approach based on processing instruction benefits the students more than the traditional one. What's more, the input-output based on processing instruction is also helpful to foster and develop students'abilities and skills as well.
