Deflation appears as a new phenomenon in Chinese economy. While the coordination between fiscal policy and monetary policy remains as an old issue in macro-economic regulation and management.From the perspectives of both theory and practice,the paper analyzes the coordination between fiscal policy and monetary policy,with the deflation as the background,and proposes an original mode of the coordination between these two aspects.The whole paper is divided into five parts. The first part makes a brief review of the achievements in this task of study and puts forward the question dealt in this paper. The second part discusses several major issues concerning deflation,based on the definition of deflation,and illustrates the questions of evaluation standards and economic effects. The third part analyzes several questions concerning the task of study from the prospective of theory. The fourth part introduces two typical examples of the United States and Japan from the prospective of practice,and draws some uesful enlightment. The fifth part puts forward a new mode of the monetarilization of national debt.
