Research On The Privatization Of English State-owned Company

This thesis is an attempt to provide a systematic research to the privatization happened in the UK during 1970s and 1980s. Privatizat ion has heavy impact to the world politics, economy and culture. However we has no correct understanding on the real meaning of privatization. I choose the UK that famous for its successful privatization as researching object, and give a systemic analysis on the UK's privatization on its background, reasons, process, target and result. Meanwhile, I discuss the policy implication to the economic reform in China. The thesis is divided into four chapters except foreword and epilogue. Chapter one briefly review the development and evolution of state-owned companies in the UK, and give an analysis on the reason why the UK adopting the policy of privatization to its state-owned companies. Chapter two and Chapter three I summarize and analyse the targets, process and ways of the privatization in the UK. Chapter four based on the analysis above, I value the privatization happened in the UK, and discuss the policy implication to the economic reform in China.
