Regional economy development includes three components: the growth of overall regional economy, the change of regional economy structure and the improvement of interrelation in regional economy. Urban area and rural area are two units of regional economy structure, and urban and rural networking where derives from their interrelation advancement is an inevitable outcome of social development. And urban and rural networking development in turn has become the impetus in stimulating space creativity. Here the present writer has conducted a tentative study on urban and rural networking process and its optimization mechanism. This thesis consists of seven chapters. The first chapter is the introduction. It sets out to introduce several interrelation model of urban and rural area, and an analysis has been given on the advantages and disadvantages of each model, which followed by another model of urban and rural interrelation development urban and rural networking model. Meanwhile, in this chapter, the writer elaborates the theoretical foundation of the paper and the characteristics of the research and also defines some related concepts. The second chapter reviews the historical literature on our urban and rural interrelation and states clearly what the development, which have provided is with background information for the optimization of the established networking mechanism. Meanwhile the writer presents a new understanding on modem urban and rural networking process. It is the development process of urban and rural interrelation, and it is the inevitable outcome of interrelation development, which in turn is its essential conditions as well. Based on the discussion, urban and rural networking process is character as integrated, interrelated, open-minded, gradated and deductive. The third chapter puts great emphasis on illustrating the general principles ii - \IA~TER $ ThE$IS involved in the course of urban-networking development,. They are self-organization, principle; the evolution principle, from met having to having and from simplicity to complexity; the universal essential principle, and the gradation principle. The fourth chapter focuses on the study of different type of model urban rural process, which may falls into two types One is regional type and the other is element type.
