Study On The Legal Issues Related To Total Loss

The United Kingdom plays a very important role in the market of marine insurance. Undoubtedly, the law and practice of Chinese insurance are significantly influenced by the United Kingdom. As a result, this thesis systematically analyzes the United Kingdom's law related to total loss, especially constructive total loss and abandonment. Through the comparison study on the counterparts of Chinese marine insurance law and practice, it is aimed to obtain a comprehensive and deep understanding of the legal issues related to total loss. This thesis analyzes the existing problems in total loss, mainly in the law of our country. It finally brings out some suggestions to improve the Maritime Code of the P. R. C. It helps not only the solution of the disputes about contracts of marine insurance, but also the improvement of Chinese marine insurance legal system.
