With the uninterrupted deepening of the reformation and the opening to the world as well as with the progressive establishment and consummation of socialistic market economy system, the social structure and the interest distribution situation in our country have changed profoundly, objectively having brought great new circumstances to the contradictions among the people in the new stage .To recognize and dispose of those contradictions and conflicts based on the consensus of fundamental interests correctly and properly is a matter of overall importance to the success of reformation > the smooth of development and the stability of the society.The author first reviews the problem of the contradictions among the people historically with the aim to summarize the successful experiences and to draw the failed lessons as well as to demonstrate the significance of proper disposal of the ones at present.
