| To make further improvement on the leadership styles and methods and realize the innovation of the leadership styles and methods is an urgent major task confronting all the party members, and the same to all the league members. How to improve the developing of the undertakings of youth league? How to strengthen the building of a strong contingent of youth league cadres? How to realize the innovation of organized functions of youth league? All the problems need the scientific leadership styles of youth league cadres. This study based upon the theory of the Fiedler's Contingency Model of Leadership effectiveness, tried to reveal the essential situation and features of the leadership styles of youth league cadres through analysis 633 cases" leadership styles (task oriented and human-relation oriented) and leadership situational characteristics (leader-member relations, task structure and position power). We say. youth league cadre's leadership effectiveness is function of the match between leadership style and situational characteristics, and he should adjust his situational characteristics or select appropriate leadership styles contingently to achieve the leadership effectiveness.
