A Research Sustainable Agricultural Development Of Mountainous County Areas

Sustainable agricultural development is the foundation of the sustainable development of the national economy and society. The sustainable agricultural development of the mountainous county areas is vital to the national agricultural development. This paper takes Wuhua County for example, and makes a preliminary study of the sustainable agricultural development in mountainous county areas.In the first part, the paper gives a summary of the theories of sustainable agricultural development. Sustainable agricultural is a kind of benign combinative circulatory system of agricultural ecosystem, economy and society. Its basic principles are sustainability, high efficiency, coordinativity and fairness. Its basic characteristics is the sustainability of development. Its ultimate goal is to realize the perfect coordination and unification of the three systems of ecosystem, economy and society. The paper also gives a brief introduction of the theoretical research and practice of sustainable agricultural development at home and abroad.In the second part, the paper studies the evaluation system of the sustainable agricultural development in mountainous county areas. On the basis of evaluation index system of building sustainable agricultural development scientifically in mountainous county areas, the paper takes Wuhua County for example, and gives quantitative evaluation and analysis of the present condition of the sustainable agricultural development in mountainous county areas. It points out that the major limitations of sustainable agricultural development in Wuhua County are underdeveloped agricultural facilities, lack of priority in structuring work, lack of scientific improvement, sharp contradiction between men and the land and low industrialization.In the third part, in accordance with the limitations and by making good use of the advantages of agricultural development in Wuhua County, the paper proposes strategies and concrete measures, which includes: to increase the agricultural investment by improving the agricultural investment mechanism; to adjust agricultural property structure according to market orientation and the principle of priority; to adopt measures to promote agriculture by applying scientific and technological advances so as to increase the science and technologycontent of agricultural products; to divert the surplus agricultural labor force so as to ease the contradiction between a big population and the deficient land; to synthesize the regulation and exploitation of mountain, water conservancy, forestry, farmland and roads and to promote coordinative development of agricultural ecosystem, economy and society, etc.
