The Inventory Polices In Supply Chain

The integrated trend of the modern management is converting to the management partner, which is based on the analysis of the process. With the appearance of different management ideas, especially the development of modern communication technologies, the Supply Chain Management is brought into the focus of both theory and practice. Nowadays, the competition exists among different supply chains, which was only occurring among different firms years ago.In the model of supply chain, the relationship of its members is not only collaborative, but also competitive. On the one hand, each member is independent, and they seek their own maximum profits. On the other hand, different members have to strengthen collaboration in order to enhance the competition power of the whole supply chain. As to the importance of collaboration, people have reached the consensus. But we don't know how to collaborate, and how to enhance the competition power; and Research about those problems is still in the stage of exploration.Inventory management is an important part of the supply chain management, which is the key both to exert collaboration and to perform the integrated management. The quantity of the inventory influences not only the individual's cost, but also the whole chain's performance. Therefore, further studies on the collaborative strategies have theoretical and realistic significance.The alliance of companies strengthen their competitive position as their larger scale but they have to take correct synergy polices for increasing their profits after alliance. This paper pays great emphasis to the collaborative strategies in the fields of inventory management. By contrast the integrated perfect solution with the local perfect solution, this paper put forward three different collaborative strategies. These strategies embody such a kind of thinking that members should enhance their integrated degree and improve the responsibility by collaborative strategies.In the last part of this paper, some problems, which may occur during the process of implementing the supply chain management, are listed, and some good advice is given about how to improve the present supply chain management.
