| The agriculture in China has made striking achievements throughout the world in twenty years. Particularly after the Third Plenary Session of the 11* Central Committee of the CCP, our party has carried out the system of contracted responsibilities on household basis with remuneration linked to output and the system of double-sided management (the combination of unified management and separated management), which lead to the great improvement of the productive force, the active participation of the peasants, the rapid increase of the food output and the better economic structure. As a result, the farmers' living standard has improved to a great extent. However, China's agricultural development is now facing a new background: l.The globalization and integration of world economy has been an unavoidable trend; 2.China will join WTO in the near future; 3.The market reform is deepening; 4.The exploitation of the West is under way. So the agricultural development has great opportunity although it has to meet the great challenge: I.We should put forward more advanced theory and do more practice as to the agricultural development. 2.The ecological environment of agriculture goes from bad to worse. 3.We ought to fulfil corresponding obligations after joining WTO. 4.The identical economic structure results in no difference in market compition. 5.The peasants' income increases slowly and needs steady rise. But what shall we do? In my opinion , we should persist in the sustainable principle and gradually and strategically adjust agricultural structure so as to realize the modernization of agriculture.In the process of modernization, the agricultural development is faced with double pressure: on the one hand, people's demands for farm products are increasing day by day; on the other hand, the natural resources are gradually decreasing and the ecological environment isbecoming worse and worse. Therefore, we can't follow the traditional way and we should bring forth some new ideas. According to the actual situation, we should make great efforts to find a modernized way with Chinese characteristic. That is, different regions should make use of their own superiority to develop their agriculture with their own special characteristic. So 1 put forward the idea of Sustainable Endogenous Development of Regional Agriculture after a careful thought about the path of agricultural modernization. The purpose of the researchThe purpose is to bring forth the idea of regional creation. In other words, we should develop the regional agriculture with regional characteristic and stick to its sustainable endogenous development in order to provide certain theory for the modernization of agriculture in China. The thinking way of the researchMy way for thinking is as follows: Modernization is the prospect of our agriculture. If we want to develop the modern agriculture with Chinese characteristic, we must insist on its sustainable development, which requires us to carry out a series of technological innovation and policy reform to create an excellent ecological environment for regional agriculture on the basis of regional resources .A typical pattern: The agriculture in a county should bear its own special characteristic and persist in its sustainable endogenous development. The basis of the research theoryThe research paper is based on various theories, such as the theory of distribution of agricultural productive force, the theory of sustainable development, the theory of regional economy, the theory of agricultural modernization, etc. Having obtained an inspiration from the predecessors' research and after a careful thought about the method of modernized agriculture.
