Environmental crimes are becoming a hot issue of the criminology,not only because of the deteriorating environmental conditions and people's awakening awareness demanding the damages to and destructions of the environment be stipulated as crimes and thus punished with penalties,but also because of that they make a new field where traditional theories were partly challenged and new theories originated.When improving our country's environmental criminal laws,it's necessary to introduce,analyze,and study those in foreign countries.This paper,titled "A study on America's environmental criminal laws",makes a detailed introduction to and a deep discussion on their characteristics,their common issues and the accessory criminal laws;then,the author examines two theoretical problems of this respect in China,and puts forward his reflections and suggestions.
