With the rapid development of cyber-technology, more and more people have fully realized that the electronic commerce has become an inevitable trend. The Internet is a giant global network. Web sites on the World Wide Web are like storefronts with exposures that are worldwide in scope and inherently accessible. Anyone with access to the Internet anywhere in the world can easily access and interact with the World Wide Web.The geographic boundaries which are the foundation of traditional jurisdiction rules are increasingly porous and ephemeral. The Yahoo case point out an issue of increasing concern: Who has jurisdiction over cyberspace? There is no ' Lex Internet.' Jurisdiction gives rise to numerous other questions. For example, what laws apply to an electronic commerce transaction consummated over the Internet? Jurisdiction is fundamental to these concerns. Then we will examine how courts all over the world have dealt with these jurisdictional issues respecting electronic commerce. Different courts have reached different conclusions as to how far their jurisdiction extends in cases involving the Internet. Also international organizations issued some conventions which aimed at the jurisdiction problems caused by electronic commerce. Last part, through analysis the situation of China and the special character of electronic commerce, a few suggestions are made by compare the rules of China with other countries and international conventions.
