Analyses Of America's New Strategy In Central Asia

After the cold war, realism theory and geopolitical theory still play important role in making diplomatic strategy of America. During the changing period of world structure, America formulate its global strategy whose aim is becoming a powerful leader of the world. Contraling the central Asia is a important part of America's global strategy system.After the disintegration of the soviet union, Some new countries set up around Caspian sea. There are five countries in central Asia and three countries in Caucasus. This region is called continental heartland in geopolitical theory. So, special geopolitical condition and rich resource made the theory of continental heartland of Markinder have double meaning. Central Asia has become a focus of international relationship. China has important economic and securities interest in central Asia. So it is vital for us to study the America's new strategy in central Asia. But our academic research still lay few stress on this issue.The dissertation is composed of four parts except preface. In the first part, it deals with the formation of new central Asia strategy of America. In the second part, it analyzes the main motive cause in making this strategy, it is the focal part of this thesis. The author argues that there are three important motive cause, firstly, America want to mast the basic center of world resource. Secondly, America want to control the geopolitical key of Europe and Asia. Thirdly, consummate America's global strategy system. In the third part, the author elaborates on the factors which restrain America complete it's central Asia strategy. The last part, the author analyze the influence of this strategy on China.The innovation of this thesis is, first, it give a new concept of central Asia. The author think that central Asia should include eight countries in America's strategy, second, the analyses of new strategy in central Asia of America are systematical and comprehensive.
