Farms' income is a key problem of agricultural economy, which is related with rural society stability and national economy's development. Although farm's income in Jiangsu province has increased rapidly since 1978, the annual growth of farm's income slows down recently, especially after 1995. So the problem of farm's income brings to the government and social sciences circle's extensive attention.Based on above background, firstly this paper investigate the increase situation of farm's income in Jiangsu province since 1978. Secondly the economy model is presented to study the variety factors' contribution or contribution rate to the growth of farm's income, such as agriculture production ability, non-agricultural employment, the produce price and rural infrastructure investment, etc. Technological, innovation and institution development are also analyzed by theory model. Thirdly the author studies the income distribution through Gini coefficient and Theil coefficient. Meanwhile the income difference between urban and rural people since 1978 is discussed. Finally, it is concluded that main key factor to farm's income growth is agriculture production ability which is take effect on farm's income through Technological innovation and institution development; the non-agriculture income's contribution exceed agriculture income's to farm's income in the 1990's; the size of distribution difference of income is widen.In the end the paper provides corresponding countermeasures in view of the problems, it is essential to invest more money on agriculture science and technology, innovate land institution, transfer more surplus labor to urban, strengthen rural infrastructure, educate farms and control the widening distribution difference of income.
