Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is one kind of thought of enterprise management that sprung up from the 1990s.BPR advocates obliterating the customary process and working pattern and organization frame, and according to the demand of customer and technology that can reached redesigning the working process and organization frame. Many enterprises have tried to reengineering their work since the BPR appearing, some of them received perfect effect, but more than 70% tries were proved to be failed. Till now most study of BPR are staying in the region of technology of computer and enterprise management. This paper attempt to research into BPR with a point of view of economics .In this paper, BPR is discussed in three aspects. Firstly, from the theory of division of labor, a thesis is brought forward that the thought of BPR deepened the division of labor. Secondly, from the theory of transaction cost, a structure of Technology, transaction cost and organization frame is discussed. Thirdly, combining the theory of division of labor and transaction cost, from the aspect of the asymmetry of knowledge distribution, a choice of the extent of flexible of the organization is; presented. In addition there are introduction and advice of BPR in the article.
