Institutional Analysis Of Agricultural Labor Transference In China

As a large agricultural country, China now is undergoing the transition from a traditional agricultural society to modern society, from a traditional planning economic system to socialist market-oriented economic system. During this process of transition, agricultural labor transference is necessary condition.In fact, the process of agricultural labor transference is also the process of rural productivity development, and rural institutional innovation and change as well. To push on this process, there're certainly some adjustments of social relations and institutional change involved, not only institutional change of rural area but also that of urban area, not only microeconomic institutional change like factors flow institutional change but also macroeconomic institutional change such as institutional change of a state's management and law.Mainly based on standpoints, opinions and methods of Marxism political economics, with the method of new institutional economics as reference, this paper makes comprehensive and systematic analysis on the topic of China's agricultural labor transference from the angles of institutional innovation and change. This paper concentrates on analyzing the reasons, conditions, barriers of agricultural labor transference, and it's transference way and trend. In addition, this paper also analyze the changes and adjustments of series social relations in rural area and urban area, and related institutional innovation and change as well. Then it reveals the rule of agricultural labor transference and institutional change, and makes some inquiry into measures that should be done during the process. The research method we use here is combining theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, combining quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis.There're 4 parts in this paper. Part 1, introduction, here we make brief introduction of the research meaning of this paper, domestic and international research achievements as to this topic, and the research method used in this paper.Part 2, establish a frame of institutional analysis as to agricultural labor transference through comparing and analyzing institutional theory of Marxism and new institutional economics. Part 3, with frame of institutional analysis, we make empirical analysis of the process of agricultural labor transference and institutional change, and make penetrating analysis of the existing institutional barriers which hinders further transference of agricultural labor. Part 4, give a conclusion to the whole paper and elaborate some guidance through institutional analysis of agricultural labor transference.
