Research On Practice Of Project Management With Application

First, the thesis introduces project conception, project characteristic and its general regulations. And then, to the project management characteristic, main factors, basic contents and its development as well as the three project management core targets: cost, schedule, quality.On the basis of theory research, the project management application of Honeywell and the situation, reconstruction background of Shanxi Weihe 3# generator DCS reconstruction project etc. are explained briefly. Taking the project as example, the thesis discusses at length how to use the relevant project management theory to guide the project successfully.In the next part, it further analyses how Honeywell can fulfill the core targets by CBS, Gantt Chart, 6σ and Customer Satisfactory Survey etc. methods. Later, the advantages and disadvantages of purchase management of Honeywell which has a big impact on the core targets are mainly studied. Regarding the disadvantage, the thesis brings forward the method: E-purchasing which will be of benefit to both business parties in cost, efficiency, transparency etc. via the comparison with the traditional purchase. At the end, the thesis analyses the problems such as organization, management system, project manager ability, management means etc. existing in domestic enterprise, and points out some suggestions as well as the future trend of project management. The innovation of this thesis is that it redefines the status of purchase management and solves the problems existing in traditional purchase management.The thesis studies thoroughly how to manage a project successfully via the practice analysis. The results of the study can benefit and will be a good reference to project management of Honeywell and other domestic enterprises.
