A Study On The Project Management Of Venture Capital

Venture Capital refers to a kind of combined professional investment with high risk,which pursues long-term profit and provides an efficient investment tool in advancingthe industrialization and commercialisation of scientific achievements and inpromoting the development of high-tech industry. In a word, VC plays an importantrole in the modern economic development of China. With the efforts of about twentyyears, VC has made considerable progress and more and more showed its importancein industrializing and commercialising the scientific achievements of our country.However, it will still take a long time for VC to become mature in China since it is notvery long after it entered China. This thesis adopts VC Project Management as its masterstroke and tries to doresearch on it systematically. Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are the deep analysis and research on the currentsituation of VC in China after consulting the latest material in and out of China, andseek for the problems existed in the VC in China from both macro and microperspective. Chapter 3 is mainly the research on the decision-making process of the VCProject and comes out with the appropriate evaluation index systems in varieddecision-making phase for varied development phase of the enterprises andsummarizes the methods of evaluation and analysis in various phases. In chapter 4,first is the research on the post investment management of VentureCapital, including a scientific analysis of the process from the organization of theproject management team to the way and content of the management. Next is theanalysis of the post investment monitoring of VC project. It builds a more completeand scientific monitoring index system after the systematic research on the importanceof the monitoring, the mode of the monitoring, and the index of the monitoring, etc.and designs project monitoring and warning flow as well. Chapter 5 is the research on the retreating systems of VC both in and out ofChina and some discussions and expectations of VC retreating system in our country. In general, this thesis has introduced the way of project management into themanagement of VC and systematized it. It has some reference meaning in the realoperation of the VC Project Management in our country.
