Studies On The Third-Party Logistics' Information System

With the development of new technology, the globalization of economy and the competition between companies have caused the behaviors of enterprises change profoundly. Logistics, as the third origin of profit, is becoming more and more important. The development of Logistics Information System (LIS) is widespread. But it was found that most of LIS were not very successful through the practices in china.It's necessary to research systemically the development of LIS in the new environment. In this article, a LIS that matches to the Third Party Logistics (TPL) is developed successfully on the basis of the LIS development method under the environment of Logistics Process Reengineering (LPR) in theories, combined with the overall analysis of the TPL, and the analysis of the difficulties in the process of LIS development.At first, the article analyses the currently development of logistics theories, LIS and TPL in china, then the way how to develop a LIS under the environment of LPR in theories is introduced, including the model, the technology and so on. After that, an optimum model built up and a KPI system to value the operation of a TPL put forward. In chapter 4, the process of the LIS is described, including system architecture, function, module, safe tactics etc. At last, some suggestions how to develop a LIS successfully are given after the practice of the system.
