Contemporary Chinese Women's Participation In Politics: Practice And Reflection

Female' s participation in politics is not only the main signal of realization of equal position between men and women but also one of the most important questions for study or discussion on female' s development., As an important aspect of improving female' s status, female' s participation in politics is increasingly received wide spread attention by international society and become an important subject of the international agenda Marx once said: "the social advance can use the female social status to measure by the square." Know to all, female are already to struggle for a century for change own social status, but keep for it until now, can still use to encounter the bias, surfer the maltreatment and are discriminated against to wait the fact the female social status in proof and did not changes thoroughly. In this thesis, we make an exact location to it through analyzing the present situation of Chinese female' s participation in politics. And according to the reality advance the countermeasure and some steps to raise the level of it and promote the development of women' s liberation.This thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is a history to look back. In the second part, it embodies some characteristics. The rate of Female cadres allocation is continually increasing in Party and government departments at different levels to some extent .The Female cadre troops is growing continually and important changes of their quality and image take place . The rate of basic Female leader and Female reserve cadres is obvious rising, etc. But there are some problems, such as, the development of Female participation in government affairs is unbalanced among the regions; the influence of the traditional culture of sex, the role conflict of Female in power, and the restraint of Female's own factors. The third part analyzes the social environment that women' s participation in politics in contemporary China is confronted with as a beginning and divides it up three parts: the factors in economy, institution and culture. This thesis analyzes these factors separately. From the analysis we can find the disadvantages that female' s participation in politics in contemporary China is faced with .Analyzing correctly these disadvantages will be producing a king of positive function to promote the development of female' s participation in politics in our country in future.
