The political development is an important problem that lies ahead of all the countries in the world today, and socialist China is no exception. There is no denying the fact that the western political development theories afford some universal significance for human political development as a whole, however, due to its special economic, political and cultural background, the political development in China has its own characteristic. This thesis, under the guidance of Marxist Theory and Deng Xiaoping' s Viewpoints on political development , based on the reality that China is undergoing transformations, points out some severe problems that China confronts in the modern political development and places China' s political development in the tide of globalization, analyzing its restrictive factors in economics, politics and culture. On this basis, it further probes the major solutions to achieving the healthy and stable development in modern Chinese politics: first, intensify the reform in economic system to enhance our national economic strength, this is the material power to motivate the continual development in Chinese politics; secondly, quicken the steps in the political reform and carry out rigorously the two great political transformations, this is the direct motive force in achieving the healthy development in modern Chinese politics; thirdly, to construct new socialist politics and culture with Chinese characteristic is a significant link not to be ignored in accomplishing the modern Chinese political development; fourthly, take an active part in international cooperation to build a peaceful international environment for China's political development.
