The Study For Product Data Management In Hangzhou Gearbox Works

In this paper, the experiences of practicing PDM for Hangzhou Gearbox Works are studied with the method of qualitative analysis adding fixed quantity analysis and comparison . The author studies why the works use PDM, how they use PDM and how is the beneficial result. Then the author sums up their experiences by comparing the successful enterprise with failed enterprise. These experiences (7 points) can supply the basis of theory and the reference of sample for the policymaker.Firstly the author represents the basic theory of PDM, studies the internal and foreign situation of using PDM and points out the importance and urgency of PDM for policymaker.Secondly the author firstly analyses the reasons of PDM for Hangzhou Gearbox Works. Then the author from technology, economy and motion analyses the condition of PDM for Hangzhou Gearbox Works.Thirdly the author studies the process of practicing PDM. Emphatically the author studies the three stages and analyses the effect of practicing PDM for Hangzhou Gearbox Works.At the same time the author firstly studies the specials of PDM for Hangzhou Gearbox Works, then analyses the beneficial result. From the two sides of direct beneficial result and indirect beneficial result, the author calculates and appraise of PDM. At last, the author studies the shortages of PDM and points out the method of making better.Finally by comparing the successful enterprise with the failed enterprise the author sums up the experiences of Hangzhou Gearbox Works and draws the conclusion that successful practicing PDM needs right method. Making the feasible tactics for practicing PDM.The above points can supply reference for other enterprises, so it can promote information management in China.
