The Research & Development Of Internet-based Integrated Information System For Manufacturing Enterprise

This paper carries out a research and development of an Internet-based integrated information system,specially for small/middle sized manufacturing enterprise. As one case study, this system was used for Qinchuan Machine Tool Group Co LTD, within a project of production management information system. Another case study is a Web-based prototype of MIS based on the requirement of Aluminum Corporation of China LTD. These two systems form the foundation of this thesis study. The thesis research mainly on the major aspects of an enterprise information system, which includes the frame of the system, the functionl/informationl/process model of the concerned enterprises, the relationships between these models, and the problems appeared in the system's information integration.This integrated information system was based on B/S structure and integrated the major functions of other application systems. Some methods were built in the system to enhance the function, such as optimizing mathematic models and "Virtual Assembly" method, and so on. All these functions promote the effect of the system, and eliminate the abnormal phenomenon of the production process. Through the application in real production environment, it was proved that this information system is effective and usable for the production management of manufacturing enterprise.The major researches and works concentrate to the following list:(1) Regarding to the implementation for the small/middle sized enterprise, an new integrated solution were presented, which builds certain core functions of application systems into one system and thus can easily make the information aligning the whole production process together.From the purpose of production management, the researches are carried out on the integration between the operation level and(2) strategic level within an enterprise, by focusing on the data flow through MES, ERP and MIS system.(3) After the disquisition on the common model of enterprise information system, we raised a business process model, named "Big Inventory" to deal with the general management of enterprise resources.(4) Based on the information model, we developed an information system's implement methodology, which including three phrases: the management of basic and static data, the management of dynamic data, and last the management of statistic information and the information for decision making.
