The Comparative Study On The System Of Veterinary Medicine Administration Between U.S.A. And China

Chinese government attaches great importance to the veterinary medicine. They have promulgated the Veterinary Medicine Administration temporary Regulation in 1980;the Veterinary Medicine Administration Regulation was promulgated in May 21, 1987, which was executed in January 1, 1988. In 2001, according to the WTO agreements and Chinese promises, the revised edition of Veterinary Medicine Administration Regulation was promulgated. And a series of regulations were then enacted by the Ministry of Agriculture. At present, Chinese regulations on veterinary medicine Administration have been primarily systematized, which have played active roll in standardizing productions and operation, improving the quality of veterinary drugs, and protecting persistent and healthy development of the animal husbandry market economy, some items in the Veterinary Medicine Administration Regulation is no longer fit for the current need in the animal husbandry production. As a result, revision is needed. Furthermore, Chinese government is doing research in the reform of the veterinary administration system. And the revision of the Regulation will help improve the management in China and measure up to the standards of WTO.As the globalization of the world economy, especially after Chinese entering WTO, we not only take privileges, but also obligate to abide by all the basic agreements and protocols of WTO.With the revision work, we gathered up and revised the United State's Veterinary Medicine Regulations. Since we have studied the history and responsibilities on their regulations carefully, we have analyzed our code and summed up the main supervisory measures. At the same time, we pointed that our main reformation and measures that will suit to the international routines.Facing the development of Chinese stockbreeding, we should completely revise and integrate our veterinary medicine regulations according to the foreign advanced veterinary medicine administration systems and the successful administration experience of human medicine in our country.
