Research On Core Competence Of Foreign Trade Company Within E-business Environment

Network economy is begun to use in commercial area since the end of 20th century, that means the challenge of electronic business to traditional trading mode. The rapid spread of the world e-business is changing the economic operational ways of the whole world. And, it also takes huge effect on our foreign trade corporations. In the e-business environment, the concept of space time, the habitude of market and the idea and actions of consumers are taking great movements. The new request of market is the factor that arouses the profound transform on the environment and fashion of international trade. However, it also induces the gradual lost advantages of foreign trade companies, and they are deep into dilemma. It seems that foreign trade companies have the same meaning as increased costs. In this transform, there have two serious realistic issues, that is, could our foreign trade companies exist longer? And what they could exist on? I begin to study from this point as a start especially, introduce the corporation core competence into foreign trade area, and research the problems and countermeasures available of foreign trade companies in e-business age. The research purpose of my paper is the core competence of foreign trade companies in e-business environment. I begin to study this issue from their dilemma, and investigate the ways of identify, construction, imperfect, maintenance and advance of their core competence on the basis of the research on its theory and the effect of e-business. I conclude some achievable and available ways of identify, construction and advance especially. Hope my study could make little contribution on solving the dilemma of foreign trade companies and shaping more brilliant future. First, there has necessity to have a general idea about e-business as an absolute new commercial operational method. The first part of my paper is the general introduction of its meaning, economic characteristic and the innovative value in international trade. E-business becomes one important dynamical power as a kind of "new economy configuration" to the prospective economic development of the whole world. And, it becomes one transparent tendency of commercial development because of these special economic characteristics. At the same time, e-business is breaking out all kinds of barriers between countries and regions, help international trade into no-boundaries trade, and causes tremendous reform in world economy and trade. It also makes magnificent impact and effect on every area of international trade, such as ideas, ways, theory, configuration, marketing, operational mechanism, management, policy innovation, and so on.The second part elicits the open issue, that is, the living dilemma of foreign trade company in e-business age. In the traditional foreign trade business, the foreign trade companies take the function as a bridge between the producers and consumers. It's included in the following five marketing flow as an agency: entity, ownership, payment, information and promotion. Following with the coming of network age, there has one possibility that the middle-commercial-institution will be put aside, though it has very important position in the old commercial value chain. Therefore, the traditional foreign trade companies face up to very austere impact and challenge nowadays. There have numerous disputes in academic area and commercial area both about the existence of foreign trade companies in the e-business environment. And, two absolute opposite ideas occur. One opinion is, the foreign trade companies will vanish at last because of the mature of IT in the Internet, the circuity economy in traditional industry era will finish, the foreign trade companies in traditional international commerce will be substituted by direct economic mode.
