On Construction Of Political Culture In The Course Of China's Political Modernization

Political culture is an important category of politics, and it is the research content of culture .In the human history , political gradually formed and developed with the origin of state and the change of politics . Research on political culture is an ancient and new topic, because there was political culture in old tiroes , and also because it changes influenced by many social factors . So, we need to research it so as to cultivate political culture tallied with social progress .This article puts the research on political culture in the course of China's political modernization , and stresses the research goal-to serve for China's political modernization . After analyzing the different explanations on political culture and political modernization made by Chinese and foreign scholars , it takes Marxism as the guiding theory , and to explain their connotation and relations . The article narrates the development course of political culture from the foundation of new China in 1949 . The first stage is the 17 years from the foundation of our country . In this stage , the first central leading committee with Mao Zedong as the core established socialist political culture . The second stage is the ten years of "Cultural Revolution ". Because of such reasons as lacking understanding to the caw of socialist construction , the development of political culture went backwards . The third stage is period from the Third plenary of the 11th Central Committee of the CPC . The Party regain the ideological line of "Seek truth from facts ", and make contraction of political culture return to the correct path . The forming of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of "Three represents " add new content to the guiding theory of Chinese socialist political culture ; the overall development of economy , politics and culture provide material base , political guarantee and spiritual motivation for socialist political culture . The new political culture with socialist democratic politics as central value is coning into being . Now the construction of political culture in our country is confronted with many problems , such as the negative influence of traditional political culture , the influence of western political culture and the division of political culture . How to solve these problems in the course of political modernization is the starting point and goal of this article.
