It also analyses the impact of the military rule regarding social change and human rights. The third chapter investigates the development slope of the African economy through a glimpse on agriculture and industry. The reorientation of development strategy by the implementation of structural adjustment programs shows little results and the unfair nature of international economic regimes has a negative impact on the development strategies of the African states. The fourth chapter finally, discusses regionalism.
