Accompanying with the economic globalization, the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As) extends from domestic to abroad, then led to the global M&As waves. China has already joined the WTO, which would enable Chinese business have more chances to go to international market, but on the other hand, they would face the challenge of cross-border M&As. Therefore, better understanding of the incentives, tools and intentions of M&As would be a great help to Chinese business. They would benefit from it to switch the mechanism, enhance the competition ability, hence, they would be more positive to face the challenge.The essay is based on the theory of western amalgamation buy theories, it studies the approaches, tools, intentions and trends that international businesses employed in China,with help of tools such as history analyze, logic analyze and case study. Then suggest new concepts and methods that Chinese businesses would use to face the waves.The essay is divided into five parts, the main contest of each part including:Introduction: Summarize the-concepts and history of M&As, and state purpose, direction and creativity of the essay.Chapter one: Give a full glance of history and trends of amalgamation. Including: Theory of amalgamation incentive, Theory of M&As incentive and Theory of return of M&As.Chapter two: Research of the relationship between economic globalization and M&As, suggest effects of business operation ability and operation scope on M&As. Then explain the important role of M&As to business with the example of GE Co. Furthermore, analyze the identities and trends of M&As.Chapter three: Specify both political and economic circumstance in China that international business would face after China becomes a member of WTO. Then with examples, analyze the approaches, methods, incentive and strategy of M&As.Chapter four: Analyze three influence of M&As on Chinese businesses, (l)the domestic competition circumstance; (2)state-owned businesses reconstruction;(3) the global strategy the Chinese business would employ. Therefore, suggest methods that Chinese business would use to face M&As from three divisions: law system, policy structure and business.
