Research On Foreign Trade Pattern Of Wood Products And Trade Strategy Selection Of Wood Industry In China

Using the techniques of quality and quantity, the foreign trade pattern of China wood products is analyzed with the aid of theoretical and demonstrable analysis in this paper. Basing on the analysis, problems on the commodity structure, mode structure and market structure of foreign trade of China wood products are demonstrated, which can be solved only by trade strategy adjustments. So the paper subsequently reviews international environment influences on China wood-industry development, which can be taken as the external condition of foreign trade strategy selection of China wood industry, and analyzes the comparative advantage, the industrial growth source and industrial growth pattern, which can be taken as the internal basis. Then the inapplicability of single 'Exporting-oriented' or 'Importing-substituted' strategy to China wood-industry development is also studied. Finally, basing both on the singularity of free trade trend in international environment and on the vast need of China domestic wood market and the diversity of wood-industry development, a new trade strategy denominated 'Outward-oriented Integration' is presented, which is accompanied with corresponding trading policies and adjusting strategies for the foreign trade pattern.
