At the beginning of property's naissance, it begeted the high vigilance of thinkers at home and abroad. The property, in consequence, was accompanied generally with the wicked evil. In Locke's article Two Treatises of government, even though he was a Christian, he conveyed in lots of words to testify the origin of property. In his opinion, the property was one kind of natural right. This viewpoint contradicts against the Christ purport, which can't prevent people from questioning: how could human procure the property which became the natural right? My article will try to answer the forgoing questions.I deem, according to Locke's sight, human acquired certain property by labor, which wasn't without limit. In this course, human had to keep to two restrictive law of nature: 1,Putrefying law of nature; 2, natural law of not doing harm to others' benefits. My article analyzes them with human desire as a thread. In the first part of my article, I briefly collect and collate the world view and the natural right concept decided by the former in the western world since Plato's epoch, and narrate western thinkers' related concerns about the property in temporal society. I make an attempt to set forth the resource of property theory of Locke's and the premise of property as natural right in accordance with Locke' s viewpoint. In the second part, I try to prove that Locke holded that the desire drived people to own the working fruits by labor in the natural state, according to the natural law. In the third part, I put forward the natural law people should abide by to acquire the property by labor, and prove that Locke might merely regard property as the means of human survival.
