On Disposition Evidence

Although disposition evidence is an important evidence rule of Anglo-American law system, Chinese scholars seldom introduce and study it explicitly. Considering there is a hotly debate about whether China should adapt a general evidence rule in Chinese legal circle, it's necessary to study foreign evidence rules, especially Anglo-American ones. Disposition evidence is one of them.As for construction of the paper, it is divided into four parts: comparison of concepts, similar facts evidence, character evidence and transplantation of disposition evidence in China. The paper attach more important to introduce disposition evidence since it is new for us. Disposition evidence consists of similar fact evidence and character evidence, and both of them are introduced. Similar fact evidence is illustrated by three cases, and character evidence is presented from two points of operation features and applied parties. At last, some options about whether China should adopt and how to adopt disposition evidence are rendered.
