In the resent two years after our acceding to WTO, the assault to china's agriculture is unclear. We almost have passed the prophase of transition successfully. But agriculture is coming to the later period of transition, which is from the year of 2004 to 2006. In this period, because customs quota is increased and the market is opener, and the period of our realizing our promises is closer, our agriculture will confront with much more assault, agricultural production and peasants' employment and income will be affected. Under this affects, for our agriculture's stabilization and development, it is especially important to adopt domestic support policies to protect or support our agriculture. The impact to china's agriculture of entry into WTO is inflected, not only on the promises we made for entry into WTO, but also on the restraint given to our agricultural policy by international trade agreement. So in the future, what we can adopt to protect our agricultural development is only affective domestic agricultural policy. It is the key of agricultural policy adjustment now and in future that strengthening the protection and support to our agriculture. This thesis adopts analytical way combining theoretic analysis with positive study, combining quantitative identification with qualitative analysis, or combining macroeconomic analysis with microeconomic study. At first, it researches the effects that the promise of agricultural market access will bring to agricultural production, peasants' employment and incomes when our agriculture enters into the period of after-transition. Under the circumstances, it analyses the usage and adjustment of domestic support policy in major members of WTO, and summarize the experiences for reference. At the same time, it lists the policies of our agricultural domestic support and calculates its level in the year 1999 to 2001 through many data information, and analyses the features and problems in our domestic support situation. At last, it puts forward the adjustment of our agricultural domestic support policy should carry out the "one centre, two transition" guiding principle and"emergency system + supporting system, passive defense + active attack " mentality. Under the direction of this principle, it puts forward the concrete measures.
